iPhoneUnlockAustralia now has reopened its professional unlocking service. After you send us your iPhone, we will unlock it, install any 3rd party applications you wish (such as games, themes, custom ringtones), customise it with for Australia and send it back to you within 3 working days. The iPhone will be ready for any GSM network around the world (including Australia of course!).

For the one-time unlocking fee, you get all of the following:

  • Activation (Jailbreaking) of iPhone
  • Unlocking for the Australian GSM Network (Vodafone, Optus, Telstra 2G, Virgin etc.)
  • Customisation of all settings for the Australian network
    • This includes +61 number support in SMS and address book and Australian number formatting (9123 4567 and 0412 345 678)
    • You will be able to receive SMS from non-mobile numbers
  • Installation of Installer.app (Allows 3rd party applications to be installed)
    • Custom ringtones installed (If provided)

Q: How do I send my unit to you?
A: Through the post - we receive our units at a secure PO Box location. We suggest you send your iPhone with a tracking service such as express post or registered post to ensure it arrives safely.

Q: I'm about to buy a locked iPhone online. Can I send it to you directly for unlocking?
A: Yes you certainly can. We recommend the sender sends the iPhone using a tracking service such as express post or registered post to ensure it arrives safely.

Q: What methods do you use?

A: We have researched and combined several different methods to suit unlocking for the Australian network. The programs we use do not impede on the functions and features of the iPhone. Don't risk purchasing unlocking software if you are not computer literate! If you are unsure, we can do it for you and guarantee it works.

Q: Is pre-payment required?
A: Yes, we will not send back your iPhone until the service fee has been received in full. However, you can opt to send us your iPhone before paying us.

Q: How long will this take?
A: Usually 3 days once we have received your iPhone.


Q: Which networks will a unlocked iPhone work on?
A: In Australia, it will work on Vodafone, Telstra, Optus and Virgin. 3 Mobile only supports 3G handsets, and therefore will not work in a 2G Apple iPhone.

Q: Your terms and conditions?
A: We will try our best to unlock your phone. We will not be held accountable or liable if the phone arrives defective, broken or damaged – please ensure it is packaged safely. If you like, we can send you a photo of your unlocked iPhone before we post it back to you to prove it has been unlocked. We also take no responsibility for any warranty repairs or claims.
