iPhoneUnlockAustralia now provides a professional unlocking service. After you send us your iPhone (straight out of the box ONLY, no already 'unlocked' iPhones), we will unlock it, install any 3rd party applications (such as games, themes, custom ringtones), customise it with the Australian phone number format and send it back to you within 3 working days. The iPhone will be ready for the Optus, Telstra or Vodafone network.

Note, you must make sure you state the firmware for your iPhone. Check STEP 1 of the unlocking pages to do a firmware check.

The fee is $119.00 AUD and includes free regular postage cost back to you - other postage options are available. Want more than one iPhone unlocked? We can offer bulk discount rates - please contact us for more information.

We accept Bank Deposit, PayMate, PayPal, MasterCard and VISA.

For the one-time unlocking fee, you get all of the following:

  • FREE iPhone Case
  • Activation of your brand new iPhone
  • Unlocking of your iPhone to Australian carriers (listed above)
  • Your choice of custom programs installed (Games, dictionary, themes)
  • The Installer.app package installed (Third party application provider)
  • Installation of custom ringtones (on request, ringtones provided by you)
  • Fixes to the following common problems:

    • Phone number formatting** for Australia (Such as (02) 1234 5678 and 0412 345 678)

All you need to to do mail us your iPhone, new or used, along with the SIM card you wish to use with the iPhone.

We recommend sending it in the original iPhone box to ensure the iPhone is sent securely and not wrapped in bubble wrap.

Q: How do I send my unit to you?
A: Through the post - we receive our units at a secure PO Box location. We suggest you send your iPhone with a tracking service such as express post or registered post to ensure it arrives safely.

Q: I'm about to buy a locked iPhone online. Can I send it to you directly for unlocking?
A: Yes you certainly can. We recommend the sender sends the iPhone using a tracking service such as express post or registered post to ensure it arrives safely.

Q: What methods do you use?

A: We have researched and combined several different methods to suit unlocking for the Australian network. The programs we use do not impede on the functions and features of the iPhone. Don't risk purchasing unlocking software if you are not computer literate! If you are unsure, we can do it for you and guarantee it works.

Q: What happens if I send you my iPhone and you can't unlock it?
A: If the phone you send us is unlockable, we will send it back to you for the cost of postage and refund you the difference.

Q: Is pre-payment required?
A: Yes, we will not send back your iPhone until the service fee has been received in full. However, you can opt to send us your iPhone before paying us.

Q: How long will this take?
A: Usually 1-2 days once we have received your iPhone. Edit: Due to the high number of unlocking orders, it may take up to four business days to be unlocked.

Q: Which networks will a unlocked iPhone work on?
A: In Australia, it will work on Vodafone, Telstra, Optus and Virgin. 3 Mobile only supports 3G handsets, and therefore will not work in a 2G Apple iPhone.

Q: Your terms and conditions?
A: We will try our best to unlock your phone. We will not be held accountable or liable if the phone arrives defective, broken or damaged – please ensure it is packaged safely. If you like, we can send you a photo of your unlocked iPhone before we post it back to you to prove it has been unlocked. We also take no responsibility for any warranty repairs or claims.
