How to import contacts from SIM card to iPhone PDF Print E-mail
Friday, 21 March 2008

Recently got an iPhone? Want to transfer all the contacts from your SIM without the need to sync with iTunes/Outlook? SIMPort, a third party application, eases this process by allowing you to copy all your contacts from your SIM to your phone in one easy step.

How to Import Contacts from your SIM Card to your iPhone

  1. Launch Installer, click on Sources–>Edit–>Add–>http://install.ifon.no
  2. Go to Install, then click on the iFon International category. Install SIMPort (don’t worry, it’s in another language)
  3. Launch SIMport and follow the instructions.

The cool thing about SIMport is that it’s fast, easy, and free. There is another program too, called iSIM that was recently released, with a similar GUI and easy use. However the demo version only allows you to transfer one contact at a time–you need to pay to upgrade.
